• Arrival and Parking - park at the designated parking area near Slemish Mountain.

• Beginning the Ascent - hike from the designated trailhead, following the trail leading up the mountain.

• Enjoying the Views -we will take breaks to appreciate the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

• Keep an eye out for wildlife and native flora along the way.

• Once we reach the summit, take some time to absorb the breathtaking views.

• Explore the summit area and imagine the solitude and contemplation that Saint Patrick may have experienced during his time here as a shepherd – including a ‘photo op’ at ‘St Patrick’s Chair’.

• Descend back down the mountain, taking care on the uneven terrain.

• Enjoy the descent as you reflect on the experience and take in more views of the landscape.

• Reflecting - we will take a moment before leaving to reflect on the spiritual significance of Slemish Mountain and its connection to Saint Patrick.

• Return to Parking Area - Once back at the parking area, we will take some time to rest and hydrate before departing.
